The National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, confirmed today, Thursday, that the decision to end the tasks of the international coalition does not mean a rupture with the international community.

He added, “The meeting discussed the overall political and security developments in the region, as well as discussing issues and files of common interest and emphasizing the importance of joint work between Baghdad and Washington, to avoid the risks and repercussions of international conflict and achieve stability in the region.”
Al-Araji assured the American senator that “Iraqi-American relations are stable and good, and that Iraq seeks bilateral partnerships between the two countries, in accordance with the strategic framework agreement approved by the Iraqi parliament.”
Al-Araji explained, according to the statement, that “the decision to end the tasks of the international coalition does not mean a rupture with the international community, and that Iraq values the positions of the friendly countries that stood with it in its war against the terrorist organization ISIS,” noting that “there is an urgent need to eliminate its leaders, to end this terrorist organization, Pointing out that there are those who are trying to make Iraq an arena for conflict, while Iraq is distancing itself from any conflict.
He stressed, “Iraq seeks bilateral relations with the coalition countries, and we are awaiting the completion of the ongoing dialogues with the United States to organize these relations.”
Al-Araji pointed out that “the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani has achieved qualitative and noticeable leaps in the field of services, reform, and the implementation of its ministerial program, in addition to creating the appropriate atmosphere for investors, in order to revive the economy and improve the work environment and infrastructure, stressing that the Iraqi government has a promising program that needs stability.” More and sustainable, pointing out that Iraq is witnessing good political and security stability today, and that the government has fulfilled its commitment to holding provincial council elections as a democratic entitlement.”
Al-Araji expressed, “Iraq’s keenness not to launch any aggression from its territory against neighboring countries, indicating that Iraq’s goal is to establish balanced relations with everyone in accordance with the principle of mutual respect for sovereignty,” pointing out that “Iraq seeks a true partnership with the United States, and this requires coordination from It would support stability in the region,” stressing that “nothing is more important than security and peace.”
Mr. Al-Araji also indicated that Iraq hopes for a rapprochement between Iran and the United States that will bring stability to the region, adding that it is time to end the military actions in Gaza and for the return of its people, stressing that “expanding the circle of conflict is not in anyone’s interest, stressing that the priority is to eliminate The fuse of the crisis in Gaza that affects the situation in Iraq and the region.
He stated, “The Iraqi security forces gained great experience during their war with ISIS and the liberation of the cities that it had seized, and this does not mean that Iraq does not cooperate with countries of the world in the field of security, but rather it is continuing in partnership with the international community in the field of information exchange and other security fields to eliminate the remnants.” ISIS elements.

For his part, Senator Coons pointed out “the importance of returning nationals of countries from Al-Hawl camp to their countries, to ward off danger from Iraq, the region, and the world as long as ISIS ideology still exists,” expressing his hope for the outcomes of the ongoing dialogue between Iraq and the United States, with regard to ending the tasks of the international coalition, noting that This is a good path.
