The Commander of Baghdad Operations, Lieutenant General Walid Khalifa Al-Tamimi, announced today, Friday, the move to install cameras in all areas of the capital in implementation of the directive of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. While he confirmed the stability of the situation in Tarmiyah, he revealed the preparation of special plans to prevent terrorist infiltration into the judiciary.

Al-Tamimi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “Many preemptive operations were launched during the recent period in northern Baghdad, represented by the Tarmiyah area, which resulted in the arrest of four people wanted according to Article 4 of terrorism, and the discovery of several additives, ammunition, and prepared materials in the orchards of the Tarmiyah area.” “The additives and materials were destroyed by the engineering effort of the Sixth Infantry Division Command,” he said, stressing that “the additives and materials were destroyed by the engineering effort of the Sixth Infantry Division Command.”

He stressed that “the judiciary is witnessing good stability, there is continuous follow-up by the sectors, and there is a major intelligence effort directed at the region to monitor any movements of ISIS members and then address them.”
He pointed out that “there is a directive from the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to install cameras in all areas of Baghdad,” stressing that “work is continuing to complete the installation of cameras, which will cover all areas of the capital, Baghdad, including the Tarmiyah areas.”
He pointed out that “cameras will be installed in important places to monitor the movements of ISIS members or any criminal acts, so that appropriate measures can be taken by our sectors if anything happens.”
