Baghdad – WAA – Amina Al-Salami
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced today, Sunday, new plans for the current year, indicating that they include leaving the concept of social care.
The ministry’s spokesman, Najm Al-Aqabi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The ministry’s plans for this year will move towards abandoning the concept of social care,” indicating that “the 2024 budget was devoid of any financial allocations, and the new beneficiaries can be included in the 2025 budget.”
Al-Aqabi pointed out that “there is no increase in the ceiling of social assistance at the present time, until sufficient financial allocations are available.”
