Baghdad / Nina/ The Samarra Region Command lifted two security controls after taking over the city’s security file.
A statement by the Federal Police Command stated that, “in implementation of the directives of the Minister of the Interior to alleviate the burden on the citizen and to avoid militarizing cities, and with direct follow-up by the Commander of the Federal Police Forces and the Commander of the Samarra Region, the two control areas (Bustan Shamil and Al-Mu’tasim) have been lifted within the sector of responsibility in the city of Samarra.”
He explained: “These are the first successful steps achieved by the leadership of the Samarra region towards removing bottlenecks and facilitating traffic for residents and visitors after the city’s security file was received by the Ministry of Interior.”/End 9
