Salahuddin Governor Badr Al-Fahl stressed the importance of concerted efforts to make the Ashura visit in Balad District a success.
The governor’s media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Salahuddin Governor Badr Al-Fahl visited Balad District this evening, Saturday, accompanied by Representative Muhammad Karim Al-Baldawi, Deputy Governor Mufid Munim, Directors of Service Departments, and the Mayor of Balad District, with the aim of following up on the security plan and providing the necessary support and services to make the Ashura visit plan a success.”
He added, “During the visit, the governor followed up with officials on the security plan prepared to secure the commemoration of Ashura in the district, and the necessary measures to protect the processions and participants, and to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, were discussed. Ways to enhance basic services such as electricity, water and health during the visit period were also discussed.”
During the visit, the governor stressed, according to the statement, “the importance of combining the efforts of the security and service agencies to make this important religious visit a success,” praising “the preparations that have been made so far, stressing the need to continue efforts to provide a safe and comfortable environment for visitors.”
