Kirkuk /Nina/The Chaldean Patriarch in Iraq and the world, Louis Raphael Sako, called for participation in the general population census.
A statement from his office said, “As the date of the general census of the population of Iraq approaches after a lapse of 27 years, and because of its importance, we call on Christians to actively participate in this extremely important national duty, and to cooperate with the team assigned to carry out this population survey.”
He said, “We had hoped that this census would include thousands of Iraqis living in neighboring countries, including one hundred thousand Christians, and add a paragraph on national affiliation.” Diversity is a strength, not a difference.
He explained that we look forward to accuracy, honesty and integrity by the team in charge of the census and citizens in providing correct information/End
