Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan stressed the need for a ceasefire in Gaza, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and the revival of the political process through a two-state solution.
“We discussed several important regional and international issues, most notably our support for the need to cease fire in Gaza,” Fidan said during a press conference with his Saudi counterpart.
“Israel and Netanyahu have no intention of peace and reaching an agreement. They are participating in the negotiations as a show (propaganda), and the attacks that took place yesterday confirm this. Israel and Netanyahu always obstruct any ceasefire agreement,” Vidan said. “We must say strongly that Israeli officials must appear before international courts. Israel must withdraw from Gaza so that the reconstruction process can begin,” he continued.
He stressed that the radical solution lies in supporting and implementing the two-state solution on the 1967 borders, and that any (unjust) peace in Palestine cannot last.

On the other hand, Fidan pointed out that he discussed with his counterpart
Saudi Arabia is developing and strengthening relations between the two countries in all political, economic and commercial fields, noting that “Saudi Arabia is one of the largest countries in which Turkish contractors work, and accordingly our companies make important contributions to the Vision 2030 project and hosting the World Cup.. We discussed and emphasized the need to strengthen our military and security cooperation.”
For his part, the Saudi Foreign Minister stressed during the conference in Istanbul, the agreement with the Turkish side regarding Gaza and the tragic conditions in the Strip, and the necessity of an immediate ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians.
He stressed the need to find effective political action by reviving the two-state solution.
Farhan added: “We discussed the joint move within the framework of the joint committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the League of Arab States.”
On the other hand, Farhan stressed the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
