The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, explained today, Thursday, that repeating the strikes that targeted a group of leaders in the Popular Mobilization Forces will contribute to complicating the security scene, while stressing the importance of supporting the paths of local governments.

Mr. Al-Hakim said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “During our meeting with the head of the State of Law bloc in the House of Representatives, Yasser Al-Maliki, we discussed developments in the general political scene in Iraq.”
Mr. Al-Hakim expressed his “condemnation of the strikes that targeted a group of leaders in the Popular Mobilization Forces,” stressing that “the repetition of these actions will contribute to the complexity of the security scene and will have repercussions on the overall security of the region.”
He stressed “the importance of supporting local government paths,” calling for their completion.
He stressed “the necessity of adhering to time limits for completing projects, and the necessity of complementarity between the work of governors and the work of governorate councils.”
Regarding developments in the regional scene, he pointed to “the importance of stopping the war on Gaza as a prelude to restoring calm to the region,” calling for “the reconstruction of the city, the return of the displaced, and the protection of civilians from the brutal war practiced by Israel in Gaza.”
