The contract concluded between Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, the Paris Saint-Germain star, and Real Madrid includes a controversial clause.
The issue of photo rights was a hot topic in the contracts that Mbappe signed in recent years, especially with his entering into a controversy with the French Football Federation in 2022 when he refused to participate in a photo session due to a dispute over photo rights.
Many reports stated that Mbappe has already signed his transfer contracts to Real Madrid for free starting next season.
Ramos Alvarez, a journalist at Radio Marca, said on his YouTube channel: “The contract signed between Mbappe and Real Madrid stipulates that the player retains 90% of the image rights with the Merengue.”
He added: “In fact, many of the current players at Real Madrid own more than 50% of their image rights, so what happened with Mbappe is not something new for the royal team.”
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique had already hinted that Mbappe would leave the club at the end of the season.
