The head of the Union of Iraqi and Arab Contractors, Ali Fakhez Sanafi, confirmed today, Friday, that the projects to relieve traffic congestion are a bold step by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, while pointing out that Iraqi companies excelled in the projects of the first package to relieve congestion.

Sanafi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The issue of implementing projects to relieve traffic congestion is a bold step by the Prime Minister,” noting that “making such a decision is one of the boldest steps of the prime ministers who have assumed government since 2003.”
He explained, “There are parties who hoped that these projects would fail, but the good follow-up by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Construction, Housing, and Cabinet, and the government team, led to the success of the step, and for the first time in Iraq a project was opened within 90 days,” noting that “in the days In the future, more than one project will be opened.”
He continued, “Iraqi companies proved their worth and creativity during the first package projects,” noting that “the share of Iraqi companies in the second phase will be greater.”
