Advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture, Mahdi Damad Al-Qaisi, told the news agency (INA): “The conference on youth and the agricultural future in Iraq, which was held, was mandated to achieve many things, including involving young people in the production process, because young people are the basis of the future production process, and most of them are college graduates, and therefore the conference will achieve positive results to create a market.” “Work for young people, instead of being idle energies, will be productive energies.”
Al-Qaisi added, “Youth are an essential element in the work of agricultural joints. Agriculture began in modern villages that were designated for young people and graduates who do not have a job. Therefore, they are relied upon to provide the agricultural process and the agricultural sector with their expertise, and this has achieved positive results.”
He explained that “the Ministry of Agriculture does not look at the youth as carrying out the agricultural process and plant production, but rather there are many circles, including agricultural offices, which are involved in the manufacture of veterinary treatments and vaccines, medicines, pesticides and fertilizers. There is a large workshop to accommodate these youth energies who are competent and energetic in the process of entering the agricultural sector.” Both the plant and animal aspects, as well as the food industries and agricultural marketing.”
