Barcelona’s new coach, Hans Flick, surprised the Catalan club’s management with an exciting decision.
Mundo Deportivo newspaper revealed that Flick wants midfielder Oriol Romeu to continue, and includes him in his plans for the new season.
She pointed out that the German coach is very impressed with Romeo’s personality and physical abilities, and sees him as a strong addition to the Catalan team’s midfield.
She pointed out that Romeo’s departure will not save Barca’s financial situation, and that the club’s management will not sell him unless there is a strong financial offer.
The newspaper reported that Barcelona rejected an offer from Girona to bring Romeo back this summer, just one year after he joined for 3.5 million euros on a 3-year contract, with a release clause of 400 million euros.
Mundo Deportivo concluded its report by saying that if Oriol Romeu leaves, young midfielder Marc Casado will be promoted.
