The head of the Taqaddam Party, Muhammad al-Halbousi, accompanied by a delegation from the party, met today, Sunday, with the head of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, while the two sides stressed the importance of dialogue and consensus in stabilizing the political process.
The media office of the head of the Taqadum Party stated, in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, that “the meeting discussed developments in the political arena and prospects for cooperation.” In order to enhance the opportunities for building the state, he stressed the importance of dialogues and consensus between national forces in ensuring the stability of the political process, quickly deciding the presidency of the House of Representatives, and activating its legislative and oversight role.”
He added, and the meeting stressed, “the importance of understandings between the political components in creating a stable national climate that enhances investment opportunities in advancing the development and service situation and alleviating the suffering of citizens.”
