Polling stations opened for the second round of Iran’s presidential election on Friday morning.
Polling stations close at 6pm (1430 GMT), and voting is usually extended until midnight, with the final result announced on Saturday.
The second round comes after the June 28 elections, which saw an unprecedentedly low turnout, with more than 60 percent of voters abstaining from voting in the snap election to choose a president to replace Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash.
