Al-Shorta team won the Iraqi Premier League championship on Thursday evening, after topping the competition by 5 points before the final stage of the league.
The police team won its third consecutive title after beating Dohuk by a single goal, raising its score to 84 points from 37 matches. Its direct pursuer, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, tied with Al-Qasim by a goal to reach 79 points in second place with the same number of matches.
