The Parliament Presidency announced today, Tuesday, the start of the second legislative term of the third legislative year and called on representatives, committees and parliamentary blocs to resume their legislative and oversight work.
The Presidency stated in a statement – received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) – that “with the end of the legislative holiday of the House of Representatives and the beginning of the second legislative session of the third legislative year, on July 9, 2024, we call on representatives, committees and parliamentary blocs to resume their legislative and oversight work.”
She added, “The date of the next regular session of the Council will be determined later, to complete the legislative and oversight duties assigned to the House of Representatives.”
