Baghdad/ NinaThe General Directorate of Intelligence and Security announced today, Friday, the overthrow of two gangs specialized in drug trafficking, kidnapping, and forgery in Baghdad.
The directorate said in a statement, “With two separate duties, the detachments of the Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate, affiliated with the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security of the Ministry of Defense, were able to overthrow two networks specialized in drug trafficking, counterfeiting, and kidnapping in Baghdad, including two women, against whom arrest warrants were issued in accordance with the provisions of Articles (28, Drugs, 433).” They were in possession of narcotic drugs that were confiscated.
The statement added, “Detachments of the Muthanna Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated with the same directorate found a pile of equipment in the Salman district of Muthanna Governorate containing (12) mortar shells, artillery shells, and launcher charges, indicating that the materials were removed in the field without any significant incident.”/End
