
One year after the riots in New Caledonia, how is the archipelago doing? The territory still bears deep scars from the social uprising of May 2024—especially in the healthcare sector. Many facilities were damaged, but more critically, many healthcare workers left the archipelago. Today, health centers and hospitals remain closed due to a lack of staff.
