The American newspaper “New York Post” reported that one or two gunmen opened fire on passengers who were waiting for the subway on the platform of the “Mount Eden Avenue” station in the “Bronx” neighborhood, killing a 35-year-old man, while 5 people were wounded and were transported. They went to a nearby hospital to receive the necessary treatment, and their health condition was described as “stable.”
The newspaper quoted eyewitnesses as saying: “Up to 10 gunshots were heard at the station.”
The newspaper indicated that it was not immediately clear why the shooting incident occurred, but the authorities are searching for two suspects in carrying out the attack./End 2
