Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez announced his official departure from the team at the end of the current season after suffering its third loss in a row.
This came in the press conference for the match, where Xavi confirmed that he would not allow the current situation of the team to continue in light of his love for him.
The coach said at the conference: “I already made my decision a few days ago. As a Barcelona fan, we are not going through a good time and I will not allow this to continue.”
He added: “We succeeded last season, but the team needs to change. I don’t want to be a problem for Barcelona. I was the solution two years ago.”
It is worth noting that Barcelona lost by five goals to three against Villarreal in the match that was held in the 22nd round of the Spanish League.
