Baghdad / Nina / Newspapers published in Baghdad today, Thursday, February 8th, focused on the sponsorship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, the International Conference on Sufism, and the impact of tensions and disputes in the region on the Iraqi economy.
Al-Zaman newspaper, under the patronage of Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani, was interested in the International Sufism Conference held by the Sunni Endowment Office in Baghdad.
The newspaper focused on Al-Sudani’s assertion that jurisprudential differences are an element of aesthetic richness and diversity and not elements of division and dispersion.
Al-Sudani pointed out the intellectual value of Sufism in the Islamic religion, which is considered a devotional line followed by many ascetics and devotees, led by Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him.
He recalled, according to what was reported by Al-Zaman, what Iraq went through, especially after ISIS invaded its lands, and the Iraqis of all sects were able to overcome the ordeal with their unity and unity of word, under the shadow of the fatwa of the supreme authority, Ali al-Sistani.
The Prime Minister stressed that Sufism represents a behavior stemming from the values of Islam, and is full of calls for love, tolerance, and serenity, far from calls for hatred, isolation, and extremism, pointing out: “The land of Iraq embraces in its ruins the graves of Sufi sheikhs. Here lie Sheikh Abdul Qadir, Sayyid Al-Rifai, Sheikh Marouf, and Al-Junaid.” Al-Hallaj and other major Sufis who left a great legacy contributed to the sound religious education of society, and we should invest in the bright stations in our history and beliefs, and make them stations of meeting and unity, not circles of division and hatred.”
As for Al-Zawraa newspaper, which is published by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, it focused on the impact of tensions and conflicts in the region on the Iraqi economy.
In this regard, I interviewed the economic expert, Safwan Qusay, who believes: “Iraq’s standing in the balance zone will save the Iraqi economy from tensions, and there is still space for all Iraqis to comply with the decisions of the government and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces so that we do not have to engage in armed conflict.” “Multifaceted and multidimensional.”
Qusay added: “Iraq, as a people, stands with the Palestinian people and is trying to put pressure to stop the conflict, and we need to defend our Iraqi economy and put it in first place, away from emotions, because the process of threatening the Iraqi economy will lead to high risks.”
He explained: “There is some hesitation on the part of some international companies to invest currently, especially with the increase in tension in the Red Sea. We hope that the Security Council will cordon off the conflict and make the Middle East region free from a comprehensive conflict.”
The economic expert continued: “We have the elements of steadfastness and the Sudanese government is keen to achieve food security inside Iraq, and also defend Iraq’s interests and capabilities, and we also have a desire to open up to regional countries and countries of the world in order for Iraq to be attractive for investment.”/ End
