The White House revealed that NATO members will announce, during their summit in Washington, additional aid to Ukraine worth 40 billion euros for the year 2025.
The US presidential administration said: “Allies will announce their intention to provide basic funding of at least 40 billion euros over the next year to Ukraine.”
Vladimir Zelensky had presented his allies gathered at the NATO summit with a new list of weapons he needed to “defeat Russia,” demanding that they hand over to his forces all their F-16 fighters and more Abrams tanks. Zelensky also demanded more air defenses, claiming that the systems promised to him by the West were insufficient.
He called for lifting the ban on the range of strikes, and providing it with missiles that would enable it to target Russian military bases hundreds of kilometers deep inside Russia “to destroy their aircraft.”
He assured his sponsors that “more American aid will help Ukraine continue to strike Russian targets in Crimea and expel the Russian army from the south of the country.”
The NATO summit in Washington kicked off yesterday evening, Tuesday, and will continue until tomorrow, Thursday.
