Today, Monday, the Iraqi National Security Service announced the closure of pharmacies and beauty centers in a number of governorates.
The agency stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “detachments of the National Security Service, in coordination with the specialized health teams, carried out monitoring and inspection tours of medical and cosmetic centers and pharmacies in (Kirkuk, Basra, Najaf, Wasit, Nineveh, and Muthanna) which resulted in the closure of ( 9) pharmacies, (4) dental clinics, and (13) beauty centers for violating health conditions and controls and practicing work without obtaining official licenses.
The statement added, “After conducting investigations, it became clear that most of these centers are run by non-specialized staff, which poses a threat to the lives of citizens and threatens the health security of community members.”
He continued, “The violators and the seized items were referred to the competent judicial authorities to take legal measures against them.”
