Najaf/Nina/ The media of the Water Department in Najaf announced the collapse of the pipe supplying liquefaction water to the southern region of the governorate’s neighborhoods due to the work of laying pipes for a sewage project.
Muhammad Al-Moussawi, the media official in the department, said in a press statement that “the liquefaction water was interrupted in the city of Kufa and part of the southern neighborhoods of the governorate due to the collapse of the 1000 mm diameter pipe coming from the South Kufa Water Project, which supplies the southern region of the governorate.”
He added, “The collapse resulted from the work of implementing a sanitation project for one of the companies implementing it in Kufa, which led to an emergency extinguishing of the water project south of Kufa.”
Al-Moussawi continued, “The collapse will result in those areas being affected by a 24-hour outage, indicating that the cadres concerned with maintenance work will begin to restore the project and the line to service, calling on citizens to provide water storage for necessary uses and rationalize the use of water until maintenance work is completed./End.”
