On this edition of our music show on arts24, Jennifer Ben Brahim chats with Irish singer-songwriter and producer James Vincent McMorrow. He emerged in 2010 with the album “Early in the Morning” and since then, his blend of folk, indie and rock has garnered over 1 billion streams. He’s worked on some unexpected projects, from covering Chris Isaak’s iconic “Wicked Games” for the “Game of Thrones” season six trailer, to lending his voice to the Drake song “Hype”. James is back with his seventh studio album “Wide Open, Horses”, a musical experiment first performed in front of an audience, before being recorded. It’s a soulful album that offers respite from the chaos of the modern world, most notably technology. It also features an adorable collaboration with his young daughter Margot.
