Karbala/Nina/ The legal guardian of the Holy Abbasid Shrine, Mr. Ahmed Al-Safi, called for intensifying efforts to support and care for diabetic children.
This came during his meeting with the management of the Diabetic Children’s Care Association in Babylon, its members, and sick children, and listening to an explanation about the association’s work mechanism, its volunteer efforts, its health and treatment services for children with diabetes, and the obstacles facing its work.
At the beginning of his speech, Mr. Al-Safi praised this humanitarian project and the efforts of the organization’s management, praying for their success in taking care of the children due to some of the afflictions that befell them, indicating that diabetes is almost a very common thing among children and adults.
He stressed the need to join hands, each according to what he has, as there is a doctor who can help diagnose the disease or arrange treatment, and there is a capable person who can help alleviate the patient’s suffering, and someone who has a desire to serve others, and there is nothing better than serving people in general, and serving these boys and girls. Especially to relieve them.
Mr. Al-Safi directed to address the competent authorities to provide land designated for the association, stressing the support of the Holy Abbas Shrine for the association’s efforts. He also promised those who excelled academically to provide them with study seats in the schools of the holy shrine, in addition to providing a wheel for the association’s services based on their request, in addition to following up on the rest of the needs.
The al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine had earlier taken the initiative to provide some supplies for diabetic children in the governorate, in an initiative that is the first of its kind in Iraq, according to the director of the Diabetic Children’s Care Association in Babylon Governorate, Lina Al-Shammari.
