Today, Thursday, the Commander of Maysan Operations, Major General Sabah Al-Azzawi, directed the formation of an investigative committee to uncover the circumstances of the incident in the Sayed Jamil area.
The Governorate Operations Command stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “The Commander of Maysan Operations, Major General Sabah Al-Azzawi, directed the formation of a joint investigation committee with transparency and fair professionalism to uncover the circumstances of the incident in the Sayed Jamil area.
She added, “Al-Azzawi ordered the detention of the federal police detachment until the investigation is completed,” stressing that “the negligent parties will be held accountable in accordance with the law.”
