The Maysan Agriculture Directorate announced, today, Friday, an increase in the amount of urea fertilizer prepared for farmers and peasants for the current season.

The Director of Agriculture in Maysan Governorate, Majid Jumaa Abdul Hassan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Based on the letter of the General Company for Agricultural Equipment, which includes preparing farmers who wish to purchase fertilizer (urea fertilizer) in an additional quantity (25) kg/dunum in addition to the quantity determined at the beginning of the season.” Cultivation for the current winter season amounts to (40) kg/dunum, so that the total fertilizer dose prescribed for the wheat crop becomes 65 kg/dunum.”
He added, “This increase aims to support farmers and farmers and make the winter agricultural plan for the wheat crop successful for the agricultural season (2023-2024).”
