Baghdad Mayor Ammar Musa Kazim explained today, Thursday, the most prominent projects of the campaign to develop the holy city of Kadhimiya, while indicating that the capital, Baghdad, is about to witness a different reality.
Baghdad Mayor Ammar Musa Kazim said in a speech during the launch ceremony of a package of service projects to develop the holy city of Kadhimiya, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We are proud today to launch a new package of projects to serve the holy city of Kadhimiya under the direct supervision and follow-up of the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Reconstruction of the City of Kadhimiya, Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, which are subsequent steps to what the Baghdad Municipality has started and managed in terms of service projects in the city, represented by the rehabilitation, furnishing and lighting of Imam Musa al-Kadhim Street, peace be upon him, and the Kadhimiya Corniche, in addition to paving the main streets with an area of 200,000 square meters, the latest of which was the opening of the Sheikh al-Waili Museum and Center, may God have mercy on him, in the holy city of Kadhimiya.”
He stressed that “the service process is continuing to be completed by completing the requirements for listing other projects, including the second section of the Al-Kadhimiya Corniche and Bustan Al-Jawadain, in addition to listing 10 projects that include rehabilitating a number of residential areas and developing streets, median strips and parks, in addition to other service works.”
He pointed out that “the Baghdad Municipality has pledged to maintain quality services and projects and exceptional efforts to improve the reality of the city of Baghdad. We are preparing to cover 62 residential neighborhoods in the city of Baghdad, in addition to maintaining expressways, as well as constructing six bridges on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa, in addition to increasing green spaces and establishing public gardens and parks.”
He continued, saying: “Our steps did not stop at this point, and we will tell our people in the capital, Baghdad, that you have a close appointment and a different reality, so that we may witness the city of dreams, magic and beauty as we knew it before, and see it in its splendor and most beautiful image.”
