Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has vowed to continue the fight against Israel, claiming that the Israeli army is being secretive about its losses in the north.
“[Our southern front] Nasrallah said in a televised statement on Wednesday evening, local time: “Israel continues to carry out its mission to put pressure on the enemy humanely, materially, militarily and economically.”
Fighting has continued since October 7 on Lebanon’s southern border with Israel between the Iranian-backed Lebanese armed group and the Israeli army. As a result, Israel ordered the evacuation of population centers along the Lebanese border.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it had killed several Hezbollah fighters and leaders since October 7. He said on Monday that he had struck two Hezbollah compounds in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, the northernmost point Israel has struck in Lebanon since the start of the recent conflict between Israel and Hamas.
In his speech, Nasrallah claimed that the Israeli Prime Minister “lost the war” in Gaza, and that the Israeli invasion of Rafah would not change that.
“After five months of fighting, [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] He said that Hamas was unable to present any scene of victory, adding that Hamas was not defeated and is still able to impose its conditions on the negotiations.
The Hezbollah leader also denounced the American position on the conflict between Israel and Gaza, describing it as “hypocritical.”
“I don’t think anyone on Earth believes that [US President Joe] “Biden cannot stop the war on Gaza,” he said, adding that Biden can stop the fighting by halting military aid to Israel and not blocking UN Security Council resolutions calling for a ceasefire.
