The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasul Abdullah, announced today, Tuesday, the arrival of the support convoy for the people of Gaza, which was led by the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and the delivery of its materials to the Jordanian side.
Abdullah said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that, “Based on the decision of the Council of Ministers that it took at its ninth session on February 27, 2024, and in continuation of the official popular campaign launched by the Prime Minister to collect aid for our people in the Gaza Strip, which has been under attack for months.” Due to the ongoing aggression by the occupation forces, a support convoy for the people of Gaza, led by the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, has arrived.”
He added, “The convoy included flour and other foodstuffs amounting to 482 tons,” explaining that “the materials were delivered to (Al-Ghabawi’s) warehouses in Jordan, in the presence of the representative of the Jordanian Charity Organization and the representative of UNRWA.”
He stressed that “work is still continuing to provide support to the patient Palestinian people.”
