The company’s general manager, Muhammad Abdul Qadir Al-Nuaimi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “The General Company for the Manufacture of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies in Samarra, one of the companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, has begun implementing its production program for the month of February of 2024, amounting to more than 2 billion.” And 288 million dinars can be increased and enhanced depending on the status of the arrival of the contracted raw materials, which includes the production of many pharmaceutical preparations and a variety of baskets that treat various diseases and chronic diseases.
Al-Nuaimi added, “Since the beginning of this February, our staff working in the production departments, quality control, and related departments have begun implementing our production program for this month in accordance with the production plan that was developed according to the needs of the Ministry of Health and the local market, which includes the production of various pharmaceutical forms of pills, syrups, ointments, and antibiotics.” And powders.”
He stressed that “the company’s production of cereals during the month of February will reach more than 3 million and 811 thousand packages distributed between the Ministry of Health and the Specialized Marketing Agency, in addition to our production of types of syrups for children and adults, the quantities of which will reach more than 769 thousand bottles.”
He pointed out that “the company’s production of antibiotics will include different types of suspensions and powders, amounting to 400 thousand vials, and approximately 146 thousand sachet powders. The program also included the production of more than 592 thousand tubes of multi-use ointments.”
He pointed to “the company’s constant endeavor to provide the best and highest quality pharmaceutical products that are comparable to similar imported medications to the Iraqi citizen at prices appropriate to his level of economic income and purchasing power.”
