Today, Monday, the Ministry of Planning announced that it had taken several measures to provide facilities to contractors, while confirming that the electronic portal facilitated the work of contractors and the implementation of projects and shortened time.
The Ministry’s spokesman, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Ministry has taken several measures to provide facilities to contractors, including facilitating obtaining the identity of the classification of contractors and contracting companies in Iraq, where submission is through the electronic portal that the Ministry adopted two years ago.” almost”.
Al-Hindawi added, “All requests and transactions from contractors and contracting companies are submitted through the electronic portal, and are received by the Contractors Classification Section in the Legal Department, and measures are taken in accordance with this request.”
He continued, “This process shortened a lot of time and effort, as the classification identity was completed within 6 months and perhaps more during previous years, but now the process takes several days, which facilitated the work of contractors in entering contracting companies and implementing projects.”
He stressed that “efforts are continuing to establish more facilities and procedures for the work of contractors and companies,” indicating that “the contracting sector represents an important pillar of development in Iraq, whether at the level of ministries or governorates, and this comes within the framework of giving the private sector more support and facilities to enable it and achieve success.” Partnership with the public sector.
