Baghdad/NinaThe Ministry of Health announced the bringing in of a foreign medical team from Turkey to perform corneal transplant operations at Ibn al-Haytham Eye Hospital in Baghdad, Rusafa, in cooperation with the Iraqi medical team, noting that during the first day (30) operations were performed, and (20) operations will be conducted, bringing the total number ( 50) Process.
Specialist Dr. Muhammad Hamza said in a statement by the ministry, “81 patients were examined by the foreign and Iraqi team for various medical conditions, and 50 patients were diagnosed, including a corneal transplant.”
For his part, Turkish Dr. Turul Ork said, “The corneas were received and delivered to Ibn al-Haytham Eye Hospital, extending his thanks to the Recruitment and Medical Evacuation Department in the Ministry of Health for facilitating the procedures and their cooperation, in addition to all the medical staff in the hospital for their cooperation and participation in completing most of the operations.”/End 8
