Boutros told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “This demonstration in Iraq has a moral, humanitarian, cultural and artistic significance, and Iraq is a complete reserve and an important pillar of Arab culture,” stressing that “holding this festival in cooperation between the Arab Theater Authority, the Iraqi Artists Syndicate, and the Cinema and Theater Department “It is evidence of ancient cultural history.”
She explained: “In all festivals, there is a difference in the level of performances, some of which are presented at a high and professional level, starting with the direction, cinematography, and the actors’ performance and presence, and there are those that vary between good and average, and what is quite good, and this depends on the director’s background of experiences, experience, boldness, and culture.” Continuing: “Theater is a human condition that appears on stage to the audience, is produced and plotted by the director, and performed by the actors in the presence of a good script. The director can be creative with his directing efforts and the skill of the actors through the idea that the play carries.”
She continued: “Iraq is a country of civilizations, Babylon, Assyria, and Sumer, a country of generosity and culture, and we are all proud of the Baghdad Library. That is why we watch television, cinema, theater, and true visual art, built on a sound foundation and with valuable and professional roots.”
