Baghdad/Nina/ Trade Minister Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairi discussed with his Serbian counterpart Tomislav Momirovic the development of economic and trade relations and the activation of the joint committee.
The Ministry of Commerce stated in a statement, “Al-Ghurairi stressed, during his meeting with Mumirovic on the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization, the Iraqi government’s keenness to open up economic and trade relations with all countries of the world, including Serbia, and the necessity of cooperation and coordination in order to convene the joint Iraqi-Serbian committee during the next stage.” In order to achieve and develop their common interests and benefit from all available opportunities and advantages with the aim of increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.
For his part, Momirovic stressed the work to complete the procedures for concluding the joint committee and bilateral agreements with Iraq, as well as encouraging the private sector in both countries to establish investment and commercial partnerships for projects in both countries./End 11
