Agence France-Presse, citing an International Atomic Energy Agency report, reported that Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium has risen significantly in recent months, exceeding the authorized level 27 times.
According to an unpublished report by the International Atomic Energy Agency, seen by Agence France-Presse on Monday, “Iran continues its nuclear escalation despite its denial of its desire to obtain an atomic bomb.”
The report added: “Stockstocks on February 10 amounted to 5,525.5 kilograms (compared to 4,486.8 kilograms at the end of October), that is, more than 27 times the level authorized under the international agreement concluded in 2015, which regulates Tehran’s nuclear activities in exchange for the lifting of international sanctions.”
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, said, “Iran continues to enrich uranium beyond the needs for commercial nuclear use,” despite United Nations pressure to stop this.
US Presidential Assistant Pranay Wadi also stated earlier that the United States hopes to resume diplomatic work with Iran regarding its nuclear program in the coming months or years.
