The Iranian Interior Ministry revealed the preliminary results of the second round of the country’s presidential elections at dawn on Saturday.
According to the ministry, the number of votes counted is 2,547,381, while reformist candidate Masoud Pezeshkian leads the presidential race with 1,263,874 votes, followed by Saeed Jalili with 1,244,640 votes.
The ministry said that the voting rate in the second round of the presidential elections exceeded that of the first round.
According to Fars News Agency, the number of participants in the second round of the presidential elections exceeded 30 million people.
