On Friday, the Directorate of Intelligence and Security announced the arrest of three drug dealers in the capital, Baghdad.
The Directorate stated, in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, that “detachments of the Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate, affiliated with the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security of the Ministry of Defense, were able to overthrow three narcotic drug dealers and promoters in different areas of the capital, and seized in their possession narcotic materials and tools used in abuse.” Arrest warrants were issued against them in accordance with the provisions of Article (28) Drugs, and the accused were handed over with the seized items to the relevant authorities.”
She added, “The directorate’s detachments were able to arrest nine violators of residency requirements of foreign nationalities in the Camp Sarah area in Baghdad. They entered the country illegally and were handed over to the relevant authorities.”
