A statement by the Commission, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “the Investigation Department of the Commission sent an official letter to the offices of the members of the House of Representatives (Majed Shangali, Ahmed Al-Jubouri, Raad Al-Dahlaki, Hussein Al-Saabari, and Ali Turki) in order to attend the meeting.” Headquarters of the Investigations Department of the Authority, and to provide more information about the statements they made to some media outlets that were monitored by the Information Office of the Authority.”
The statement added, “The Authority’s Information Office followed up on the statements of some members of the House of Representatives after the session to elect the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as some of them claimed to have received offers from some of the Council’s employees, while others claimed to have been informed of those offers via WhatsApp messages, while some of them stated that they had made sure of The amount of money allegedly offered for payment.
