Baghdad / Nina/ The Federal Integrity Commission Investigation Directorate in Basra Governorate arrested more than (40) defendants red-handed in illegally transporting dirt and bulldozing agricultural land, and investigated approximately (30) mechanisms that the defendants were using in their work in violation of the law.
The Commission’s Government Information and Communications Office reported that the Commission’s Investigation Directorate in Basra had formed a working team; To investigate and investigate the information I received about a group of people using mechanisms and equipment; For the purpose of uprooting soil material in the Shatt al-Arab region, transporting it to another place without any official permits, and bulldozing agricultural lands.
He explained that the team initiated investigations, investigations and verification of the information contained in the news, and after confirming the accuracy of the information and obtaining the decision of the competent investigating judge, the team moved, accompanied by a law enforcement force, to the site, where it was able to arrest (41) accused, and a number of vehicles, including: With (21) flip lorries, and (8) shuffles.
He added that the defendants were using the mechanisms against which they were seized. To extract the dirt material and transport it to another place and conduct a bulldozing operation in agricultural lands, creating deep and large cavities and trenches in the agricultural lands, noting that the team concluded, after taking initial statements from the defendants, that the process of transporting the dirt material that they were carrying out was for the benefit of lands belonging to a group of Officers.
He noted the organization of a formal seizure report on the operation, which was implemented in accordance with the provisions of Article (34) of the Environmental Protection and Improvement Law No. (27 of 2009), with the aim of presenting it with the accused and the seized mechanisms to the competent investigating judge.
