The Investigation Department of the Federal Integrity Commission announced today, Tuesday, the arrest of (10) accused of tampering, forgery, trespassing on state real estate, and tracking transactions, in addition to violations in a project that cost (14,000,000,000) billion dinars in Nineveh Governorate.
The department stated, in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, that “the Nineveh Investigation Directorate’s work team was able, in two separate operations, to arrest the peace sector services official, two employees in the flower sector in the Mosul municipality, and other defendants.” Because they covered up the encroachments on lands belonging to the state that fall within the taboos of high pressure, and used them as a yard for selling construction materials, despite the issuance of an order from the Mayor of Mosul and the Nineveh Electricity Networks Department to close and remove the encroachment on those lands.”
She added, “The accused employees did not take the initiative to take legal measures against the trespassers, noting their agreement with the trespassers to facilitate the construction of houses in the places of trespass and obtain registration cards for state-owned agricultural lands in accordance with Resolution (320 of 2022), which required the competent investigating judge to arrest them in accordance with the provisions of Article (331/Penalties).”
The department confirmed, “Three accused of tracking transactions were arrested in the Real Estate Registration Directorate in Nineveh – Al-Zuhur, and they were in possession of (28) real estate transfer transactions, (11) agencies, and (14) requests for copies of real estate registrations and the authenticity of the issuance of a legal certificate, and they moved to the Contracts Department in the governorate office.” The team monitored violations in a water project costing (14,000,000,000) billion dinars in Rabia district, and the lack of economic feasibility of the project (due to the decrease in the water level of the Mosul Dam Lake).”
She continued, “In the Nineveh Health Department, two members of the purchasing committee were arrested; Because they tampered and forged (30) purchase receipts amounting to a total of (270,000,000) million dinars, in addition to controlling (30) appointment transactions in the department within the appointments allocated to governorates not organized into a region; There is more than one residence card, each with different information, as the first card states that their residence is in the governorates of the Kurdistan region, while the second states that their place of residence is Nineveh Governorate.”
