Several parts of the Arabian Peninsula are experiencing a severe heat wave, with temperatures likely to reach 50 degrees Celsius in a number of countries.
The Arab Weather platform indicated that the high pressure system in the upper atmosphere is expected to gradually intensify over the region by the end of this week, coinciding with the deepening of the surface thermal depression east of the Arabian Peninsula, which will lead to a rise in temperatures.
Arab Weather expects temperatures to rise significantly by the end of this week in Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and the Emirates, with temperatures in the forties in most areas. It is also expected to reach 50 degrees Celsius in several parts of Iraq, Kuwait and eastern Saudi Arabia.
He warned of this expected rise, calling for not being exposed to sunlight during the day and drinking plenty of cold liquids and refreshments throughout the day and even at night.
