White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby apologized for saying that his country had informed Baghdad about the recent strikes.

Kirby said, in statements followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “I apologize for making a mistaken statement that Washington informed Baghdad before carrying out air strikes in Iraq a few days ago.”
Kirby previously told reporters on Friday that the United States informed Iraq before carrying out the strikes.
