Een 47-jarige man is deze week in Amsterdam als eerste persoon ter wereld buiten studieverband behandeld met een nieuwe techniek tegen de verschijnselen van de ziekte van Parkinson, meldt Amsterdam UMC. Deze heet Adaptieve DBS (aDBS) en geeft zogenoemde pulsen (schokjes) aan de hersenen als die nodig blijken.
