A statement from the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, “In the presence of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, Iraqi Airways organized, inside Baghdad International Airport, a reception and honoring ceremony for Captain Razin Muhammad Al-Doski, on the occasion of her promotion to the rank of captain of an aircraft as the first Iraqi woman, to carry this. Al-Saffa joins its leading air team.
Al-Saadawi said during the honoring ceremony: “The arrival of Al-Dosky to this historic achievement, which carried out its first flight between Baghdad and Dubai, indicates the efforts made by the Ministry of Transport and the Iraqi Airways Administration to mobilize youth energies and the keenness to give women a prominent role in various aspects of work in all formations of the Ministry.”
For her part, Al-Doski extended her “thanks and gratitude to all who stood by her side throughout all stages of her long journey towards achieving this dream,” expressing her “pride in representing Iraqi Airways, whose founding dates back more than seven decades, and which is an important opportunity to motivate young people.” “Iraqi women, especially women, follow their dreams and achieve their goals with determination and persistence.”
