Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Health announced the closure of 124 beauty centers and clinics that violated regulations, indicating that it continues to monitor the work of all health institutions.
The Ministry’s official spokesman, Saif Al-Badr, said in a statement to the official news agency, followed by Al-Rasheed, that “the teams of the Inspection Department at the Ministry of Health Center and its counterpart departments and divisions in Baghdad and the governorates, and in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, continue to follow up on the work of private health institutions, including beauty centers and others, and hold them accountable.” Violating them will be closed according to applicable controls and laws.”
He added, “The Private Health Institutions Inspection Department, during the period from October 2022 to December 2023, and during campaigns alone or in conjunction with the Ministry of Interior, inspected 305 beauty centers, of which 124 centers were closed, including 94 fake centers.”
Al-Badr added, “He was referred to the competent courts and 30 centers and operating theaters inside licensed beauty centers in violation of ministerial controls. 25 doctors and dentists who work in cosmetic centers and clinics were also referred for violating the instructions and controls of the ministry and the relevant unions, in addition to issuing 7 orders to destroy materials.” Not suitable for use in beauty centers.”
