At the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez Stadium, Getafe finished the first half ahead with two goals from Borja Mayoral and Jaime Mata in the 41st and (45+2) minutes.
Celta Vigo succeeded in turning the tables around within 14 minutes, first with goals from Jurgen Strand Larsen in the 71st minute and Tadeo Allende in the 85th minute.
While the match was breathing its last breath, Getafe snatched the three points with the fatal winning goal one minute before the end of regular time, with a header from Jaime Mata.
With this result, Getafe regained the winning tone after losing and drawing in the last two rounds, raising its score to 33 points in tenth place.
