Government spokesman Bassem Al-Awadi confirmed today, Wednesday, the continuation of funding the salaries of employees in the Kurdistan region, and that there is no truth in stopping the funding.
Al-Awadi said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Funding the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees will continue according to the established contexts and in cooperation with the regional government, and there is no truth to the information circulating about stopping funding.”
He added, “The Federal Ministry of Finance is committed to financing the region by paying the salaries of employees in the Kurdistan region for the month of March, with the importance of coordinating with the Ministry of Finance in the Kurdistan region to accelerate the process of completing resettlement procedures in the approved banks.”
