French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced his intention to submit his resignation to French President Emmanuel Macron tomorrow, Monday.
Attal said in a press statement: “Today’s results showed that extremists cannot form an overwhelming majority,” stressing, “I will submit my resignation tomorrow morning to the President of the Republic.”
He added, “The extreme left has achieved historic results today, and to all the French I say I respect your choice,” stating, “We must work to build a new political system.”
He continued: “We reiterate our rejection of submission to extremism and we will continue the struggle.”
